because there is a house with my name on it. and until the bank makes up its mind i'm perfectly happy planning out every nook and cranny with the money i don't have because it will all be going towards a mortgage.
to help things out a little, ikea has been a large resource.
these are some things i'm liking these days (because if i don't make some sort of list, things will start to slosh out of my brain like a bucket with too much water being carried by a 5 year old).
in no particular order....
for my laundry room (yes! there is indeed a laundry room--there is an end in sight to the carrying of laundry across a parking lot!) except i want one big sink, not two:
also for the laundry room--that or it will be a clever buffet in the dining room or a keeper of things in the "office". whatever it's purpose, i await its extensive storage capabilities:
this fabric i just like. and i have no use for it just yet. i just know i like it:

bench seating in my breakfast room (to be accompanied by a long seat cushion and pillows):

the rug for somewhere in my house (the husband-to-be seems to think it will be too busy for the extensive woodwork in the family room, but i think we'll just have to see):

two of these for the master bath (which desperately needs an overhaul, but someone gave it their best to make it livable, which it shall be for some time):

and there you have it. there is much MUCH more to come. i can assure you.
